Actress Lashana Lynch has been confirmed to be taking on the legendary role of 007 in the latest James Bond movie, making her the first woman and the first person of color to play the role. Lynchs character, Naomi, will be playing a different 007 agent that will be filling in for Daniel Craigs James Bond character. I didnt want to waste an opportunity when it came to what Nomi might represent, Lynch told Harper's Bazaar UK . I searched for at least one moment in the script where Black audience members would nod their heads, tutting at the reality but glad to see their real life represented. The movie is currently scheduled to release in April 2021.
