he relationship between people of color in America and the law has a vast and storied history that is largely negative. One powerful factor has always been the disproportionate number of attorneys and partners in the legal system. So, Black EOE Journal reached out to two experts, attorneys Reginald Roberts, Jr. and Justin Sanders, the co- founders of Sanders Roberts LLP, to learn more. Two Black Attorneys on the Rise
Development Council, a local division of NMSDC; Philippine American Bar Association; Black Women Lawyers; Mexican American Legal Defense; Thurgood Marshall Bar Association; California Association of Black Lawyers; National Employment Law Counsel; Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association; Women's Law Association Los Angeles; John M. Langston Bar Association. Justin and I were recently honored by the Los Angeles Times B2B Magazine as 2021 Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Leaders, a great honor. Additionally, Sanders Roberts was recognized as one of 2021's "Most Admired Law Firms to Work For" by the Los Angeles Business Journal . And in 2016 and 2020, the Daily Journal recognized Sanders Roberts as a Top Boutique Law Firm. Recently, I participated on a panel on behalf of the Los Angeles Business Journal 's event "Black Business Matters: From Awareness to Action." Our panel touched upon ways we can all foster a more socially- conscious Community of Business.
